The Austrian Society for Higher Education (ÖGHD)

Mission Statement

The "Österreichische Gesellschaft für Hochschuldidaktik" (ÖGHD) was founded by dedicated staff members and students from Austrian universities in 1977.

The society is based in Vienna, Austria and active mostly in German-speaking countries.

Main goal of the society is to document and promote higher education by enhancing cooperation of universities, public institutions and society.

The spectrum of tasks includes didactic research, development, consulting and advanced training. During the last years more attention was paid to public awareness for the need of quality improvement in academic teachijng.
